Hell hath no fury like a man scorned. That’s what this story of a man who killed his wife while high on drugs tells us. His reason for killing her? Apparently, he was jealous.
A media report of the incident was only published by Pilipino Star Ngayon earlier today but it actually happened on Saturday morning.
The victim, identified as 42-year-old Maricar Sapian of Cabatuhan, Valenzuela, was beaten up and stabbed by her husband multiple times.
The suspect, identified as Nicanor Paul Fernandez, 43 years old, allegedly first confronted the victim whom he claimed was cheating on him.
When the victim refuted Fernandez, he didn’t believe her and allegedly started to hit her.
Their child tried to stop Fernandez from stabbing his wife with a knife he got from the kitchen but the father punched the minor, who then blacked out.
This was when Fernandez started to stab his wife until she fell to the ground.
According to neighbors, the suspect is a very jealous man addicted to drugs, a combination that has proven to be deadly.
They said that he even beats his wife up for simply talking to a male neighbor.
Police recovered the knife that was used but were unable to catch the suspect who managed to escape the scene.
