Classes were suspended at Reedley International School in Pasig this morning after a bomb threat was received by the school’s receptionist.
According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the text message received by the receptionist went: “Your school is going down in a few hours. An explosive was sneaked inside your building early this morning at around 6:45 a.m. to 7 a.m. via a student’s bag.”

The message was sent by an anonymous person at 8:52am.
Jerome Castro, the head master of the school, notified the police about the threat when he learned about the message, GMA News reported.
However, DZMM said that Senior Superintendent Rizalito Gapas confirmed that there were no explosives found inside the school’s campus.
Just last night, there was a bomb scare at Olongapo’s Gordon College, the second threat that the school received this week.
The threat was sent to a teacher through Facebook Messenger at around 6pm yesterday.
Night classes were suspended and authorities inspected the campus. However, there were no explosives found in the college.
Bomb threats have become common in Philippine schools this year. In September alone, three schools received threats: the Mapua Institute of Technology, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (Manila City College), National Teachers College (NTC), and the Lyceum of the Philippines University.
In the same month, an 18-year-old student and student council chairperson was arrested for allegedly sending the bomb threats to NTC.
In October, Bulacan State University received several bomb threats but no explosives were found in campus.
