A dad’s love knows no limits.

This story of a dad with a paralyzed arm working hard to provide for his family tugged on the heartstrings of netizens after his story became viral on social media.

“Moises is 52 years old, married with 5 school-age children and a wife who makes halo-halo as income source. He had a stroke 6 years ago. When he recovered, he went back to selling snacks,” wrote John Rene Fernandez on a post on Facebook that has earned nearly 10,000 likes.

Moises is a regular sight at the RCBC tower in Makati, where he offers his snacks for sale. He sells the snacks at 3 packs for PHP50.

Fernandez followed Moises around and chronicled how he struggles to make ends meet.

“It is not easy for a half-paralyzed vendor with a bulky luggage to commute from Taguig to RCBC Plaza almost every day. Sometimes, he had to make a detour because he could not climb up to the elevated pedestrian. Jeepneys would bypass him when he hails them because he has a huge luggage,” Fernandez wrote.

“I salute this survivor,” wrote Fernandez. We salute him, too!

Fernandez added that those who want to help Moises can catch him at the front desk of Tower 1 in RCBC Plaza 10 am to 1 pm Monday to Friday except Wednesday.

We’re totally eyeing those iced gem biscuits!
