Gov’t to roll out vehicles during jeepney strike on Feb 6

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) said Friday that it is bracing for the impending jeepney strike on Monday, February 6.

In a statement, LTFRB said it is deploying a total of of 4,800 military and police officers and non-uniformed personnel from the Department of Transportation (DOTr), LTFRB, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and the Office for Transportation Security (OTS).

Authorities will deploy 100 private buses, 85 government vehicles, 50 motorcycles, and two vessels in response to the transport strike on Monday.
