At around 12:30pm on Sun, Apr 12, Eric Dastas of dzMM reported that the Doña Carmen Ferry boat — which had been docked near the SM Mall of Asia — was hit by fire.

According to one of the witnesses, a construction worker named Vic Baldoza, it looked like the fire started on the front part of the boat.

Firemen quickly came to the scene, but, as the report indicated, “they had to re-organize after running out of water.”

The report said that “a nearby construction area was also affected by the incident.” There were no reported casualties in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, YouTube user amadeusiom uploaded a video of the ferry on  fire.
