Over a month after stepping down from the highest post in the land, what has former President Rodrigo Duterte been up to? Riding motorcycles and eating durian in his hometown of Davao City, apparently.
Senator Bong Go, a former aide to Duterte, posted photos of the former president apparently leading the simpler life he used to enjoy as the city’s long-time mayor.
“Father Digong missed riding around the city using his motorcycle just like he used to do as mayor. Now that he is a private citizen, he could not help but go around the city even in the wee hours of the morning. He interacted with the soldiers, police, and security guards he passed by and he was invited to snack on durian. Ride safe Mayor Rody!”

Duterte stepped down from office on June 30, the same day that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. took his oath.
Perhaps the former president is feeling relaxed after Marcos declared that the Philippines isn’t rejoining the International Criminal Court?
