A body of an unidentified man was found inside a garbage bag this morning at the C.P. Garcia Road in Quezon City.

According to ABS-CBN News, a street sweeper was about to pick up the trash bag sealed with packaging tape but saw that it contained a body with stab wounds.

Authorities said that the victim was in his 40s and had tattoos in different parts of his body, the report added.

GMA News’ Balitambayan reported that authorities immediately went to the crime scene after getting a tip from residents about the incident.

The same report states that a guard from the University of the Philippines campus saw the garbage bag last night, but he said that it didn’t seem suspicious at the time.

Radyo Inquirer reported that a car was seen parked at the scene of the crime at 7:30pm last night.

Residents said that the area is a usual dumping place for bodies, Balitambayan reported.

Police are still investigating the motive behind the incident.
