Ateneo high school teacher shot dead in Marikina

This is the kind of world we now live in.

A teacher from Ateneo de Manila High School was shot dead in Barangay Barangka, Marikina City, police said.

Emmanuel Jose Pavia was killed by an unidentified gunman past 7pm on Monday night, Jul 18.

He sustained two gunshot wounds on the head and was rushed to the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival.

On social media, ‪the hashtag #‎JusticeForEmJ‬ is already being used to seek justice for what happened.

“We still don’t know why. Pero ano ito? Para saan ang pagpatay na ito? I know that this hurts much because it’s close to home, but this is happening at a time when killing is rampant and killing anyone is becoming common. WE ARE MAD. But our voices are loud. So we will cry out more than ever,” wrote one of his friends.

Investigations about the incident are still ongoing. With reports from ABS-CBN News.
