The 65th Miss Universe pageant set a record on Twitter with 34.6 million tweets. According to the popular micro-blogging site, this marked “the highest volume of tweets for a live entertainment event.”
Included in the most talked about moments were the end of the evening gown round, the end of the interview round, and Miss Kenya’s answer to the question about Donald Trump.
Proving that Thailand’s Twitter game is strong, Miss Universe Thailand Charlita Suansane was the most mentioned candidate on the social media site.Miss Universe Philippines Maxine Medina took the second spot and Miss Universe Brazil Raissa Santana took the third spot.

2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach also received lots of love from her supporters around the world. Her Filipino fans congratulated her on having a successful reign, ABS-CBN News reports.
