1.Watch a meteor shower
April 22, midnight onwards. Grab your special someone (or your fave teddy bear) and watch the night skies on April 22, Saturday, when the Lyrids meteor shower is expected to peak this year. Prepare your eyes for a feast because Lyrids is known to generate as much as a dozen meteors per hour. Depending on your POV, this could be supremely romantic or supremely geeky — either way, it sounds fun.

2. Listen to good music
April 22, 12 noon – midnight. Heads up, music lovers. Audio Pilipinas is hosting the first ever unified Record Store Day (RSD) celebration in the Philippines, with 30 of the country’s independent record stores participating in the event. It’s a good way start your own collection, and get to know more about this interesting subculture. Local bands and musical legends such as The Late Isabel, Hoochie Coochie Mikkie, The Black Vomits, Itchyworms and Ely Buendia’s Apartel will be there. Buddha Bar Manila, PICAR Place, Kalayaan Ave. Brgy. Poblacion, Makati; Facebook. 10 am – 12 midnight.

3. Shop for healthy food
April 22-23, 11am -10pm. A bunch of us promised to be healthier this year, but yeah, we can’t keep our hands off chips and chocolate (no judgment!). If you want to jumpstart your health journey, it might be a good idea to drop by the Healthy Choices Bazaar in BGC, where you can get healthy and organic products that can motivate you to take your fitness seriously. Expect nutritious meals, organic options, and other healthy choices. There will also be eco-friendly skin and body care items on sale. Don’t forget your eco-bags! 7th Avenue High Street. Bonifacio High Street, BGC; Facebook. 11 am – 10pm.

4. Party with Yellow Claw at the Palace Pool Club
April 22, 12m onwards. The Palace Pool Club is celebrating its second anniversary, and they’re inviting everyone to party with them in a fun night featuring Yellow Claw, famous for their unique sounds incorporating rap, , hip-hop, dubstep and more! Expect to hear their hits like “Krokobil”, “Nooit Meer Slapen”, “Thunder” and “Last Night Ever.” Bring your friends! The Palace Pool Club, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig; Facebook. 12 am onwards, tickets start at PHP1000.

5. Get cultured in an art fair
April 23, 10am – 8pm. Get your dose of art in the ‘Art in the South’ art fair, a one-day event featuring 50 booths showcasing the works of established artists, and up-and-coming names. The event is expected to boost the art scene in Muntinlupa, Laguna, Parañaque, Las Piñas and Cavite. There will also be food, drinks, and a free painting class! Filinvest Tent Park Area, Spectrum Midway, Filinvest, Alabang; Facebook. 10am – 8pm, free.
