See a female superhero soar on the big screen
Date: Premieres March 6, Wednesday
Venue: All major cinemas nationwide
It’s hard to believe that it took the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) this long to have a movie led by a female heroine, but at least the time has now come. Gracing theater screens today is Captain Marvel, starring Oscar-winning actor Brie Larson in the titular character.
It’s an origin story set in 1995 about how Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, turns into a superhero. The film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Annette Bening, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.
It will be screened in all major theater chains and, if previous MCU movies are any indication, in multiple cinemas within those theaters as well.
