Date: July 27, Saturday
Venue: WeWork Uptown Bonifacio Tower Three, 36th St. cor. 11th Ave., Taguig City

Living zero-waste is good for the planet but transitioning to a new lifestyle can be overwhelming. Close The Loop is an upcoming event that aims to make it easier for those who want to live a more sustainable life. It will bring together individuals in the zero-waste community and organizations with the same philosophy.

Organized by The Good Trade, it will have repair stations that will allow people to keep their stuff instead of replacing them and recycling stations for things attendees want to dispose of. Because second-hand shopping is more eco-friendly than buying brand new items, there will also be fashion and plant swaps and thrift shopping booths.

Entrance is free and the event will run from 1pm to 4pm.

For more information, visit the Close The Loop Facebook event page.

Date: July 27, Saturday
Venue: Artesania, 910 Arnaiz Ave., Makati City

Homegrown Filipino brands have some of the most exciting and creative pieces out there, so shoppers ought to skip the mall this weekend and go to Aura sa Artesania.

Offering items that are unlike what’s seen in most highstreet stores today, the one-day pop-up will feature labels like Strange Mercy, known for its graphic tees and scarves; vintage store Glorious Dias; and handcrafted shoe brand Renegade Folk.

Shoppers will get a 10 percent discount on all items as long as they spend PHP500 (US$9.76) on food and drinks.

There will also be a coffee cupping session and a live musical performance among other activities.

Entrance is free and the event will run from 11am to 10pm.

For more information, visit the Aura sa Artesania Facebook event page.
