American singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter — the 19-year-old behind international hits such as Thumbs and Why — will be in Manila for a series of shows to promote her new single Almost Love at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls.

Even if you don’t know Carpenter’s name, you might have heard her EDM-inflected pop song Alien, which featured Joe Jonas and reached Billboard Dance Club’s number one spot at the peak of its popularity earlier this year.

If you want to go, you’ll need to buy Carpenter’s limited edition fan magazine at one of the venues listed above in order to get entry into the show.

We’ve got our own Carnaval celebration here in the Philippines, where event-goers can dance the samba, imbibe on caipirinhas, and get to know more about Brazilian culture in one go.

The annual street party brings the best of Brazilian and Filipino cultures together with Carnaval festivities — here, we’ll have the music of Brigada and SalSamba Fushion, as well as Brazilian-born DJ Luane and Guarana. Escola de Samba de Manila and Imperatriz Filipinense Samba School are also on board for this, and they’ve got an all-night samba and reggae dance fest on their agenda.

Free entry. For more information, check out Brasilipinas’ Facebook page.
