The aughts are calling as Boys Like Girls, the American pop-rock band behind the 2006 earworm Great Escape, announced last night that they will be performing a one-night concert in Manila in April.
“Manila. It’s been a long while since we’ve had our eardrums burst from your screaming. We are coming back on April 16. Hear you soon,” the band said in a post on their Facebook page yesterday. The band’s concert will be at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City and they’re expected to play songs from their self-titled 2006 debut album.
Tickets will be sold starting Monday next week and are priced from PHP2,600 (US$51) to PHP4,000 (US$78).
Composed of Martin Johnson, Paul DiGiovanni, Morgan Dorr, and John Keefe, the band has released three albums with the most recent Crazy World, launched in 2012.
