About a week ago, an employee of KFC Philippines went viral on social media because of his striking resemblance to Korean star Gong Yoo, who appeared on the movie Train to Busan and the hit show Goblin.

Eriel Pangan Mendoza first posted about the unnamed employee on Facebook. Of course, it went wildly viral, especially among K-drama fans.

An article on Cosmo.ph later identified the KFC employee as 22-year-old Michael Cordova, who has been working in the fast food chain for seven months.

For reference, here is a photo of Gong Yoo.

Recognizing a golden opportunity, the fast-food giant used Cordova’s viral fame to launch a contest.

Gong Yoo’s character in Goblin is looking for his bride to break a curse. KFC’s contest is a search for the look-alike of the actress who plays the Goblin’s bride on the show, Kim Go-Eun.

The winner gets PHP5000 (about USD100) worth of KFC gift certificates and a photo op with KFC’s Gong Yoo. K-drama fans submitted their photos to join.

Here are some of the entries:

KFC yesterday picked a picked Yuka Oikawa as the winner. She was wearing a red hoodie on her winning photo. An outfit that Kim Go-Eun wore in one of the more popular scenes of the show.

Congratulations, Yuka! Enjoy your fried chicken.
