In a follow-up tweet, the television weatherman wrote, “A date rape sleep spray or whatever they wish to call it is unacceptable and has to be called out. If it’s for insomnia I’d understand but the pic?”

Lazada’s Twitter account responded to Atienza’s complaint, and said that the ad had “already been coordinated with the relevant teams for checking and investigation.” The ad appears to have been taken down and can no longer be seen on Lazada.
Coconuts Manila has reached out to Lazada for their reaction to Atienza’s complaint but we have yet to hear from them as of posting time.
Hi! Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This has already been coordinated with the relevant teams for checking and investigation. Rest assured that our team is already on top of the issue. Thank you and stay safe! -Starr
