PPO Concert Series ft Tetsuji Honna as guest conductor

Get ready for a little night…of Beethoven.

Led by guest Japanese conductor Tetsuji Honna, and with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, pianist April Dawnena Merced Misa goes solo in a program with Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and his monumental and memorable Symphony No. 3 “Eroica” in the lineup.

Honna has worked with numerous soloists — including Cecile Licad and Antonio Meneses — and is currently the music director and principal conductor of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.

Merced-Misa was born and raised in Cotabato and is quickly establishing herself as a fixture in Philippine music.

PPO Concert Series V featuring Tetsui Honna is on Jan 22, 8pm, at Cultural Center of the Philippines Main Theater. Tickets range from PHP309 to PHP1,545. Available on Ticketworld.
