PHP 14,000 for GA? Concert organizers tell public to avoid buying Coldplay tickets from scalpers

Nobody said it was easy.

Coldplay fans are well aware of the Herculean task of getting tickets to the phenomenal band’s upcoming Manila concert on Apr 4, 2017.

Ah, well greedy entrepreneurs (aka scalpers) saw this as an opportunity to make money.

Concert organizers Music Management International reminded the public to avoid buying A Head Full of Dreams tickets from third-party sources to avoid being victims of scams.

“We strongly discourage everyone from buying Coldplay tickets through third-party resellers, for they are not, in any way affiliated with Music Management International. This is also a reminder for everyone to avoid being victims of scams,” the organizers posted on their Facebook page.

Meanwhile, Facebook Page Philippine Concerts, posted a photo showing Coldplay tickets being sold for as much as PHP14,000 for general admission (Original price: PHP1,800), PHP32,000 for Gold (Original price: 12,500) and PHP50,000 for Platinum (Original price: 17, 500).

The public sale of the tickets started today, Nov 24. Globe had a pre-selling last week, Nov 18.

Unless you’re a special unicorn, you probably went home with a broken heart like the rest of us.

Well, those who have the money to buy insanely expensive (and possibly illegal) tickets should just consider flying to another country to buy tickets. Tokyo or Taipei, anyone?
