In a statement released on Wednesday, Inspire Studios CEO Francis Ho said that the production house will be partnering with an undisclosed “major US studio” on the movie Freedom Fighters in 2020.
“We are currently in discussions with leading Hollywood and Philippine studios, financiers and distributors, as well as ‘A-List’ directors and actors to bring this amazing, inspirational story to the global audience,” he said.
Freedom Fighters will be based on Guerrilla Wife, a memoir written by American Louise Reid Spencer, a World War II survivor who resided in Hopevale, a community of American missionaries who stayed behind on Panay Island during the Japanese invasion.
