No comment: Ai Ai delas Alas avoids questions about former BFF Kris Aquino’s rumored network transfer

Kris Aquino is an issue Ai Ai delas Alas doesn’t want to get involved in.

During the press conference for GMA’s Sunday variety show Sunday PinaSaya, reporters tried to get Ai Ai’s opinion regarding the rumored transfer of Kris Aquino from GMA to ABS-CBN.

She had no interest in commenting about Kris.

“For the first time in my life, hindi po ako sasagot diyan sa tanong na yan,” she said. “Dahil ang dami naman pong katanungan na wala ring sagot. Kagaya ng, bakit hamburger ang tawag nila sa hamburger pero wala namang ham. Meron pang, bakit ang ABC katunog ng Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, wala ring sagot diyan,” she said.

(For the first time in my life, I will not answer that question. There are questions that have no answers. Like, why they call hamburger a hamburger yet it doesn’t have ham. Or, why the ABC song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star have the same melody.)

She added: “Eh kaya huwag na yun. Tapos na yun. Ayoko na kasing sagutin ‘yan eh. Ang daming katanungan na walang sagot.”

(So no. It’s over. I don’t want to answer that. There are many questions with no answers.)

What a creative way to avoid a question.

As you may know, Ai Ai and Kris are not in good terms.

Their rift reportedly began in 2014, when Kris was unable to attend the wake of Ai Ai’s biological mother. The two publicly reconciled during Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes’ wedding in Dec 2014. But according to rumors, they have not renewed their friendship.

Ai Ai has since moved from ABS-CBN to GMA.

The comedienne was not as guarded about the issue when she talked to Rose Garcia of Pep.ph during the birthday party of movie producer Lily Monteverde.

When Garcia remarked that Kris was followed her lead in moving to a different network,  Ai Ai said: “Yun na nga, siguro nami-miss na niya ako… At hindi siya mabubuhay na wala ako, yun lang!”

(Maybe she missed me. And she can’t live without me, that’s it!)

When asked if she missed Kris, Ai Ai said, “Ah, no comment.”
