LGBT council to be set up in QC

The Quezon City Pride Council, a body that will look after the inclusion and integration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community in the city’s activities, is set to become a reality.

Mayor Herbert Bautista had already signed the order to create the council and its primary task would be to launch education campaigns on gay issues and concerns.

Additionally, the council will also provide training and livelihood programs for the LGBT community.

Earlier, the QC council has also approved the creation of a protection center for abused women, children and members of the LGBT community, Inquirer News reported.
