Whether you’re a true blue Manileño, someone who just moved here, or are just visiting, you’ve probably already noticed that there is never a lack of things to do in Manila. This is Coconuts Manila’s guide to everything you need to check out over the weekend. Peruse it, take note of everything that interests you, and don’t forget to let us know all about it.

Watch your favorite band live and get ready to scream “ILYSB”

Date: April 5 – 6 (Thursday – Friday)
Venue: Smart Araneta Coliseum, Cubao, Quezon City

You’ve got two music events to choose from this week, starting with American indie pop band LANY’s 2-day concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. They were initially only supposed to perform on Thursday but the tickets quickly sold out, so organizers decided to set up another event scheduled for Friday.

Those of you who still don’t have a ticket can buy some from TicketNet.

Or maybe you’d rather have a Perfect night?

Date: April 8, Sunday
Venue: Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City

Not into LANY? Maybe Ed Sheeran is more up your alley. Fans have been waiting to watch Sheeran again since he announced last year that his concert in Manila, first scheduled for November, had been postponed to April. Now that the concert is just a few days away, it’s time to get excited again.

Sheeran’s concert is happening this Sunday at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.

Add a happy hour to your holiday

Date: The Podium – Weekdays, 3-6pm and 9-12mn
Resorts World Manila – Weekdays, 3-8pm
Venue: Wolfgang’s Steakhouse branches at The Podium and Resorts World Manila

Good news! Monday is a holiday so we have a long weekend ahead of us. Most of us are usually busy at work during Monday afternoons, so take that time to relax and to do things you don’t usually get to do at the start of the week — like enjoying happy hour drinks at a bar.

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse’s branches in The Podium and Resorts World Manila have a happy hour promo that cuts the prices down from some of their signature drinks. They recommend trying the Downtown Manila (PHP338/US$6.50), a dressed-up version of gin-pomelo, or the Overthyme (PHP338/US$6.50), a gin and ginger beer drink with a touch of strawberry and herb flavors.
