Meet up with other fanboys and fangirls at AsiaPop Comicon 2017

Date: Aug. 25 – 27 (Friday – Sunday)

Venue: SMX Convention Center, The Mall of Asia, Pasay City

First up is AsiaPop Comicon 2017. The event announced earlier this month that Teen Wolf and Supergirl star Tyler Hoechlin is in the celebrity lineup alongside Justice League’s very own Cyborg, Ray Fisher. But it did not end there.

It looks like fans of the Netflix hit Stranger Things will have a reason to celebrate as well. Last week, AsiaPop Comicon posted on Facebook that actors Noah Schnapp, Joe Keery, Dacre Montgomery, and Sadie Sink will be coming to Manila as well.

Skip the boutiques and go straight to the trends when you shop at the Trendsetter’s Bazaar

Date: Aug. 25 – 27 (Friday – Sunday)

Venue: Mega Trade Hall 1, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City

Sick of seeing the same old things in every high street store? Shop at the Trendesetter’s Bazaar this weekend and browse through racks upon racks of clothes. What’s even better is that you can get up to 80% off on the items.

Party in the streets of old Manila during the Escolta Block Party

Date: Aug. 26, Saturday

Venue: Escolta St., City of Manila

Make sure you don’t miss this event. Not only because it’ll let you party in and explore the revitalizing downtown Manila but because you’re going to have to wait three more months for something like it.

The quarterly block party at Escolta is a whole-day event and a good alternative to the Makati and The Fort weekend scene. Shop local products at a street bazaar in the morning, enjoy local coffee for merienda (afternoon snack), and stay for a drink or two (or more).

Getting to do all that amidst historic buildings is the sweetest cherry on top.
