Maine Mendoza proves once again that she can sell.

Mendoza’s MAC Cosmetics lipstick called @mainedcm (that’s her Instagram and Twitter handle, fyi) flew off the shelves and sold out within one minute on Lazada, a local shopping website.

This was announced by MAC yesterday on their Instagram account. Their post shows the peachy, beige shade and includes this caption: “#MaineForMAC got SOLD OUT ON LAZADA IN 1 MINUTE!!”

Lazada had a pre-launch of the lipstick today at midnight. Too bad for some fans because the lippy was snapped up by people quickly.

For those who still want to buy the lipstick, fret not. Wrote the cosmetics company: “Didn’t make it to the cut? You still have a chance to get it this September 22 at SM Megamall and September 23 in all MAC Stores nationwide!”

Mendoza is currently one of the country’s biggest social media stars, thanks to her appearance on the noontime show Eat Bulaga and her tandem with Alden Richards.

The two headlined the program’s Kalyeserye (Street Series) segment which became a runaway hit, thanks to a widely held belief among fans that the two were together in real life.

Their loveteam reached sky-high popularity that in one of their events, the hashtag used by their fans (#AlDubEBTamangPanahon) was declared by the Guinness World Records as the most used hashtag in 24 hours.

But their partnership went on the down low after Mendoza wrote an open letter saying that she and Richards are just friends.

Mendoza didn’t say what triggered the open letter, but it was posted after fans reacted vehemently to her appearance on an Instagram story posted by Jake Ejercito, the son of former president Joseph Estrada, on his account.

While Richards said in July that their love team still exists, he and Mendoza haven’t been working on any projects. But Mendoza’s star continues to rise– according to Twitter Philippines, she was the most tweeted female celebrity from January to April this year. While she hasn’t done any notable primetime television series, her strong social media presence has made her a reliable brand ambassador.

Her fans are happy for Mendoza of course. Posting on Mac’s account, @mitchmerizing called her the “Queen of Soldout.”

Fan @_biging said she was “disappointed” for failing to buy one online.
