K-pop band Seventeen to perform in Manila in 2020

Another K-pop boy band is coming to the Philippines — Seventeen, stylized as “SEVENTEEN,” the group behind the hit song Pretty U, will be performing in Manila on February 8, 2020. This was announced on the group’s official Facebook page earlier today.

The concert is part of the band’s Ode To You tour, which will also include stops in Coconuts cities Jakarta, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur. The Manila show will be at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

The group is composed of 13 members: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino. The members are divided into three units based on their so-called specialization: a “hip-hop unit,” a “vocal unit,” and a “performance unit.”

The group made its public debut in May 2015 and has since then released songs such as Hit, Very Nice, and Mansae, which have become mega-hits among K-pop fans.

The concert in Manila may still be six months away, but Filipino fans are already really excited about the group’s upcoming visit, which will be their fourth. “Thank you Seventeen for giving a chance her[e] in Manila,” wrote Kenneth Nacional.
