Filipino singer and actor James Reid is nominated for an award at the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) happening on Nov. 12 in London.
The EMAs are similar to its US counterpart the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) but instead focuses on the international music industry including artists from Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
The singer’s nomination for Best Southeast Asian Act can be seen in EMA’s official website.
He is up against Faizal Tahir from Malaysia, Dam Vinh Hung from Vietnam, Isyana Sarasvati from Indonesia, Palitchoke Ayanaputra and Slot Machine from Thailand, and The Sam Willows from Singapore.
This is Reid’s second nomination at the EMAs. The first time was for the same category in 2015 but he lost to Vietnam’s Sơn Tùng M-TP.
