This digital ad agency gives break-up leave, dating allowance to employees

Need time off to get over a break-up? How about some extra bucks for dating?

One digital ad agency in Manila gives their employees just that.

According to a story in Newsbytes, an online information technology news site in the Philippines, Ideas Ex Machina (IXM), believes that having a happy love life is just as important as being productive at work.

In fact, they believe that a happy love life contributes to keeping an employee creative and productive.

The CEO and founder Clemente “Third” Domingo III crafted the schmes to make the workplace “more appealing to millenials,” who makeup more than half of his staff.

On top of subsidizing their eHarmony or Tinder accounts, IXM reimburses up to PHP1,500 (about US$30) of dating expenses, up to six times a year.

“The rationale is to inspire the staff to develop their creativeness by inspiring and motivating them. Based on studies, people who are inspired are more creative in their work,” Domingo said.

Now those are some benefits we can all get behind.
