Age is just a number, right? Teresita Andanar Dionglay will definitely agree.

The 65-year old grandma proved that it’s never too late to make dreams come true as she marched for her senior high school graduation on Friday, Mar 24.

Dionglay was orphaned early and she married in her teens. She delayed her dreams of going to school to focus on her role as a mom and wife.

Dionglay earned her diploma from the La Salle Greenhills Adult Night Program with the support of her family. She graduated second honorable mention plus she also received special awards from her school.

“Organize talaga dapat yung time para mabigyan ng panahon ang pag-aaral. Kasi wala naman matanda sa pag-aaral,” she said in a report by GMA News.

(Organize everything so you can have time to study. No one is too old to get an education.)

All of Dionglay’s children have now earned their respective degrees.

“All out support kami kay nanay kasi pinag-aral niya kami. Nag-sakripisyo siya. Ngayon naman, dahil desire niya makatapos, sinuportahan namin siya,” said son Christian.

(We’re very supportive of our mom because she helped us out with our studies. She sacrificed a lot. Now, because it’s her desire to finish her studies, we’ll support her.)

The inspiring grandma also inspired her grandchild Hanna, who said that she wants to push herself to finish her studies as well.
