Bb. Pilipinas disqualifies another candidate due to ‘sexy photos’

What a controversial year this is for Binibining Pilipinas!

Janelle Olafson, formerly candidate number one of the 2016 Bb. Pilipinas pagaant, was disqualified by the Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated (BPCI) last week.

The aspiring beauty queen confirmed this on a video blog posted on Fri, Mar 11.

“I’m officially disqualified,” Olafson said. “Even though I knew it was coming, it still hurts because, of course, this is something I’ve been working so hard towards.”

According to a report aired on “Bandila” on Mon, Mar 14, Olafson was booted from the competition over a photo that shows the aspiring beauty queen half-naked, with her arms covering her breast.

Olafson told “Bandila” the photo was for a breast cancer advocacy campaign.

“That is an advocacy and I don’t regret posing for that photo. and I’m not gonna change for anybody,” she said.

Olafson’s disqualification came after BPCI removed Kim Ross delos Santos from the competition due to a sexy photo for an ad campaign.

Geisha Naganuma will take the slot Delos Santos has vacated.

BPCI has not issued a statement yet on the issue.
