Television host Mariel Padilla expressed her frustration last night after rumors circulated that her husband, Robin Padilla, has gotten fellow Duterte supporter Mocha Uson pregnant.
Mariel said in an online statement that several people have been “checking” in on her since the gossip circulated on social media last night, which stemmed from a blind item published by entertainment news website Pep.Ph. The host said that Robin has been grieving since his older brother Royette Padilla died more than a week ago.

Robin “has never been in so much pain all his life,” she said.
“He doesn’t need your baseless gossip. My husband lost his brother. Please. He doesn’t even know anything about all this rumor but I am putting a stop to this now,” she added.
Mariel also said that there was a time to act like “a**holes” but “now is not that time.”
Uson, who works as a director at the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, has yet to comment on the issue as of writing. The controversial figure has been caught several times in the past for spreading false news that denigrated opposition figures and the local media.

Robin, an action star, has been equally supportive of the government. In 2018, he even threatened to arrest then-Senator Antonio Trillanes, a leading critic of the Duterte administration, after the lawmaker’s amnesty was revoked by the government.
