ComicCon Asia just can’t catch a break. Earlier today, it announced that Agent Carter actor Hayley Atwell has decided to cancel her appearance at the event happening this weekend due to “political unrest in the country.”

This comes just a week after they announced that Marvel legend Stan Lee will no longer attend the event due to health concerns.

According to the statement, Atwell, who played Peggy Carter in the TV show Agent Carter and in the two Captain America films, told the organizers that she is not “comfortable making the trip” to the Philippines.

However, the statement did not specify what event or issue triggered the actor’s decision. While the Philippines certainly has its problems, no big issue has unfolded recently.

And this isn’t the first time Atwell changed her mind about visiting the Philippines. In 2016, she canceled her appearance at AsiaPOP ComicCon because of scheduling conflicts.

It is unclear whether Atwell’s decision was some sort of political protest or if it was brought by a concern for her safety.

As of today, other celebrities set to attend ComicCon Asia are NBA star Ray Allen, Teen Wolf‘s Holland Roden, and Walter Jones or the Black Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

ComicCon Asia will be held this coming Saturday and Sunday at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Event organizers said that they will issue refunds to people who bought passes to meet Atwell.
