April 25 is going to be one culinary milestone for the Philippines. Because four major and definitely memorable dinners will take place in a single night. Yes, we are talking about the culinary collaborative dinners for ‘Flavors of the Philippines,’ a side event for Madrid Fusion Manila.
There’s the Myrna Segismundo-Mario Sandoval tandem at Peninsula Manila, Jose Luis Gonzalez’s collab dinners at Vask Gallery; yesterday, we reported about Jordy Navarra and Alvin Leung teaming up at Black Sheep.
Capping off the list is the partnership of two culinary superstars: Margarita Fores and Paco Roncero.
To be staged at the Writers Bar at Raffles Makati on the last Saturday of April, the big event will have Spanish hot shot Paco Roncero, whose restaurant La Terraza del Casino garnered two Michelin stars, collaborating with our country’s very own Margarita Fores. It will be a six-course dinner showcasing each other’s individual talents as well as the magic they get to create together.
