It’s been a year since M Bakery, the famous New York cupcake shop, opened its Manila outpost in BGC. To mark its one-year anniversary, the store has introduced a limited edition ChocNut Banana Pudding, which it started selling yesterday.
The dessert will be available only up until this Sunday, so if you’re interested in trying it, then you can’t lag for too long.

Made with fresh bananas, vanilla wafers, and creamy vanilla pudding, the dessert comes topped with chunks of ChocNut, a peanut butter powder snack beloved by many Filipinos since childhood. The pudding is available in three sizes: small (PHP145/US$2.8), medium (PHP295/US$5.6), and large (PHP375/US$7.2). The pudding was reportedly tested in New York before its release to make sure that Filipino fans would like it.
Known in the States as Magnolia Bakery — and immortalized in the show Sex and the City — the original shop opened its doors 20 years ago in New York City’s West Village, where it quickly became known for its cupcakes and cakes. A few favorites worth trying in the store is its icebox cake, Carrie cupcake (named after the fictional protagonist of SATC, Carrie Bradshaw), and banana pudding.
