Ain’t no party like a milk tea party because a milk tea party don’t stop.

Moonleaf, one of the more well known local tea shops in the Philippines, will be turning 8 years old this coming Wednesday, Oct. 3. And as a special promo, it will offer its bestselling Wintermelon Milk Tea for — and this is hard to believe — PHP8 (US$0.15).

The Moonleaf Facebook page announced earlier this week that starting 1pm on that day, the first 100 customers can avail of a large Wintermelon Milk Tea for PHP8, a huge drop from its original PHP95 (US$1.75) price.

Moonleaf started out as a small tea shop in UP Teacher’s Village in 2010 and was frequented by college students in the area. Now, it has more than 30 branches around the country, including foodie spots in Metro Manila and even the highland city of Baguio.

The milk tea shop offers freshly-brewed tea from Taiwan and a relaxed vibe, which is probably why it’s so popular with students and yuppies.
