Mark the date. On Saturday, April 18, Mikel Arriet, J Gamboa, Carlo Miguel, Gilbert Pangilinan, Fernando Aracama, Jerome Valencia, James Antolin and Sito Senn — all Les Toques Blanches (LTB) Philippines chefs — will stage a huge cook out by preparing a giant paella right smack in the middle of Greenbelt 3.

This is the third run of Paella Gigante, and according to Reggie Aspiras of Philippine Daily Inquirer, this year’s run is part of the Gastronomy Festival at Ayala Mall, in celebration of Madrid Fusion Manila.

This is a massive project — a 10-food diameter paellera will be brought in to cook paella big enough to feed 1000 people — with so they are inviting all LTB chefs and members to attend and help in preparing the much loved Spanish rice dish. Event starts at 5pm.

Of course you can come just to eat, too. Paella is only PHP200 a plate. Proceeds will benefit the Sociedad de Española.
