This wasn’t Floor Plan Man’s first time at the rodeo: Other victim has come forward

Gather round, for we have more tales of modern folk hero, and wanted criminal, Floor Plan Man.

After The Sun broke the shocking story of a man who waltzed into a Damansara Heights bank with a floor plan as ID, and waltzed out RM600,000 (US$143,000) richer, a victim has come forward admitting he fell prey to Floor Plan Man’s cool voice, and official demeanor.

Zie Chong, a Bangsar business owner, reports that the suspect visited his shop December 4 last year, under the pretense of neighborhood pipework repairs. Amazingly, he was wearing the same blue short-sleeve shirt. Safe to say, probably his lucky shirt at this point.

His modus operadi was the same: feign authority, ask for access, wander around, take stuff. In the case of Mr Chong, it turned out be an unattended mobile phone. At the bank, it turned out to be RM600,000.

The Bangsar business-owner filed a police report, but nothing more came of it. Needless to say, he was shocked when the same man, in the same shirt, made headlines yesterday.

So far, a total of three cases involving the man have come to light, although only Mr Chong has gone public with his.

Police are not ruling out that the coolest bank heist ever could be an inside job, as investigations are still on-going.

That being said, they still have no idea who he is.

Run freeeeee Floor Plan Man.
