A Sarawak Form One student has been arrested for allegedly feeding his classmate noodles seeped in cockroach poison. The boy was arrested at his house at 2:30am Friday morning.

The poisoning occurred Thursday afternoon, when the 13-year-old suspect brought the roach powder-laced noodles to school and gave them to his classmate. The boy immediately fell ill, vomiting and was taken to a nearby hospital by school staff. The victim is currently recovering at Sri Aman Hospital, near Kuching.

The suspect is being questioned regarding his motives, and police are taking the matter seriously by classifying it as a crime under Section 328 of the Penal Code, for causing hurt by poisoning.

After poisoning the other boy, the suspect ran away from school. Police later found him at home. Not the brightest spark, this one.
