Several people escaped unscathed yesterday after a tarmac lorry rammed into seven vehicles in Sungai Buloh, Selangor.

The lorry driver, 35, had lost control of the vehicle due to its faulty brakes and ended up crashing into three cars, a four-wheel-drive, two vans and a crane lorry at a traffic junction at around 6:20pm, police believed, adding that the driver will be tested for drugs.

Videos of the aftermath showed at least three crushed vehicles at the Persiaran Bukit Rahman Putra 1 with about a dozen onlookers nearby. Some were taking photos while others appeared to be calling for help on the phone. It is not clear how many people were involved in the vehicle collision.

“All the victims, aged between 35 and 57, escaped uninjured, but their vehicles were damaged,” District Police Officer Shafa’aton Abu Bakar told reporters yesterday.
