Mohd Ludwig, a recent graduate of Taylor’s University probably had no idea he was going to become headline viral news after his convocation. But that’s exactly what happened when his friends presented him with a bouquet of durian to mark the occasion.

His friends gifted him with a “Red Prawn” durian. Explaining the practicality of the gift, Mohd Ludwig explained that, “buying a bouquet can be rather expensive. The durian gift, I can eat it later.”

Sin Chew Daily reports that while initially embarrassed by the unusual gift, he began to embrace it when several other stopped to take photos with “the durian boy.”

So, two lessons really. One, bouquets are expensive, so use that money on something that looks pretty, and that you can eat later. Grapes? Two, things that initially embarrass you can actually turn out to be pretty cool, and maybe make you temporarily famous.
