In what police believe was due to a disagreement over a motorcycle, a 38-year-old man stabbed his 90-year-old father with a parang (machete) in Kampung Gajah, Perak over the weekend.
The suspect was apprehended on Sunday, one day after the attack, in the area surrounding their village. Authorities have reported that the man suffers from drug addiction, and became upset after his father refused to allow him to take the bike.
Treated in a nearby clinic, the elderly man sustained injuries to his head, arm and hand before the suspect relented. Currently still in police custody, the 12th of 13 siblings tested positive for methamphetamine.
Stay away from drugs, kids.
