Singapore woman alleges that Johor-based shop attendant filmed her with pen camera

A Singaporean woman has shared a cautionary warning to Facebook, detailing an incident in a shop changing room that left her rattled, and intent on warning others over the potential dangers out there.

While at a shopping center in the city state, Doreen AhDo, decided to try on a few items inside a popular sports store. Midway through, she noticed that a “pen” had made an appearance at the edge of the changing room door. Standing up on a stool that was inside, she grabbed the pen, and pulled it inside the room.

To her horror, she alleges that the “pen” was no more than a camera in disguise, with a tiny lens visible, and a USB output when she pulled it apart.

“Worse,” she wrote, “the pen felt warm [to the touch], meaning the camera was working.”

Angry, she got dressed, took photos of the “pen” and made her way out of the shop so that she could file a police report. However, before she could leave the shop, the only attendant working, a young man, ran towards her. She alleges that the suspect is a Johor-based man, who she points out, has a girlfriend.

Begging her not to file a police report, he told her that he was remorseful, and that “his career” (Ed. Note: Career?) would be ruined.

Refusing to turn over the “pen,” the attendant grabbed at Doreen’s pocket, and a scuffle over the hidden camera ensued. In the process, the attendant inflicted severs bruises on Doreen, injuries she later catalogued and uploaded to social media.

Eventually, the attendant made off with the camera-pen, and left the scene of the crime. Doreen eventually made a police report on the matter, minus the physical evidence of the pen, and authorities arrested the man, who lives in Johor Baru, Malaysia.

She concludes with a warning that while he was arrested by Singaporean police, they subsequently released him, and he now walks the streets freely. She urges other to exercise caution, having said that she herself had never quite imagined that she would fall victim to the type of countless sex-related crimes that she has herself seen shared over social media in the past.
