The Selangor Smart Bus — or the state government’s free bus service — is going places.

Since its debut in Petaling Jaya two years ago, the service is now available in Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, Kajang, Ampang, Klang, Sepang and Selayang.

It is now ready for folks living in Puchong, The Star Metro’s Ryannesh Panicker reports, allowing much-demanded connectivity with Subang Jaya.

Quoting sources from the Land Public Transport Comission (SPAD), the daily said the new Puchong service will begin next month, starting rom Pusat Bandar Puchong LRT station into the IOI Puchong Jaya LRT station and then to the Sunway Medical Centre BRT station, Sunway Pyramid, Inti College at SS15, Subang Parade and finally, Sime Darby Medical Centre, Subang Jaya.

This bus service will be operated by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) with support from SPAD.

More details would be revealed soon, it said, after frequencies and operating hours have been set.
