A trader from Sabah was brought to the Sessions Court on Thursday for allegedly trying to sodomise a then nine-year-old boy five years ago, reported The New Straits Times.
Jakarullah Nurun, who is a Semporna native of Bajau descent, claimed trial to committing “non-consensual unnatural carnal intercourse” against the victim at the bathroom of a house at Jalan Klang Lama.
The police arrested the 35-year-old suspect over the crime allegedly committed on 8 August 2015 between 4.15pm and 4.30pm. If convicted, he will face a maximum jail term of 20 years and whipped.
He was not granted bail and Judge Datin M. Kunasundary fixed 15 June for mention.
