A tired policeman who wanted to take a short nap in his car woke up to find more than a few minutes of his life missing.

According to a report by China Press, as translated by The Star Online, the policeman had reportedly gone out for supper after work at around 3am on Monday.

After grabbing a quick bite, the policeman reportedly dozed off in the car, with the engine still running, near Jalan Pudu Ulu in Kuala Lumpur.

When he woke up, he was shocked to find that his gun – a semi-automatic pistol with ten bullets – as well as his mobile phone were missing.

The policeman reportedly retraced his step, but he failed to find the pistol in the car or the restaurant he went for supper.

According to the report, the cop suspected that they were stolen while he was taking a nap.

He then went to the Dang Wangi police station to lodge a report, and he is expected to face disciplinary action for negligence.
