Police arrest suspect in connection with KL-area road brawl

Police have confirmed that a 44-year-old male suspect has been detained in connection with a video clip that had been making the rounds online earlier this week over a road rage incident in the Balakong area of Kuala Lumpur.

In the video, of which there were two circulating, two men can be seen getting out of their car in haste, and punching and kicking each other along Jalan Dataran Cheras 2. One of the men can later be seen bloodied.

Footage of the attack can be found HERE.

Reports have emerged that the arrested individual is expected to be charged under Section 325 of the Penal Code for causing bodily harm.

The man’s lawyer released a statement saying that police had tried to prolong their remand, but were unable to secure holding the suspect longer after a magistrate agreed with their objection.
