Two teenage girls are under arrest in Kuala Terengganu on the east coast of the country after a video of a disabled man being tied up, stripped to his naked buttocks and subsequently singed with a hot prod went viral.
The seven-minute ordeal showed a group of teenagers abusing the vulnerable man, known as “Pok Ya Cong Codei,” in the Pantai Batu Buruk area. At one point, they throw dirt on his exposed genitals.
Police have seized the girls’ mobile phones while they continue their investigations looking for more evidence and other suspects.
Last week, a similarly disturbing case came to light after video of a young disabled boy in Kluang, Johor went viral. In the clip, he was shown being repeatedly pushed around, hit with a stick and bullied. Two suspects then stole his phone.
They were identified as two teenage boys and were arrested by police over the weekend.
