One young man’s birthday tribute to his younger brother, who is mentally disabled after a car accident left him brain damaged as a baby, is touching the hearts, and turning on the waterworks, for many netizens.

Explaining that his brother has the mental age of a three to four-year-old in an adult body, Facebook user Arthur Techeir explains that his brother cannot walk or talk very well, and suffers monthly seizures.

Medical doctors, witch doctors and ustaz are unable to diagnose exactly what causes his brother’s condition, and most of his days since the accident have been spent doing the same thing: Watching Ultraman and the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, dubbed in Malay on DVD.

So, for his birthday, Arthur decided to try to make the characters come to life, and hired an actor to come and visit his brother in the flesh, at home. Writing that “it might not mean anything to normal people like us,” for his brother “having his version of ‘fun’ do about an hour and a half of his life, that’s just priceless.”

Photos Arthur shared of his brother show him overjoyed, and barely able to contain his excitement seeing one of his television favorites in real-life.

If you can get through these pics without getting a little misty-eyed, then you’re made of stronger stock than us – we were reaching for the tissues by picture two.

Happy Birthday, Arthur’s brother. And kudos Arthur for bringing so much happiness to him on his birthday.
