Nonagenarian with a license: Mahathir takes his Proton for a Sunday spin, no driver needed

Prime Minister Mahathir has yet again endeared himself to the general population after a clip of him taking a leisurely Ramadan eve drive went viral.

Throwing caution to the wind, and putting rubber on the pavement, the 93-year-old has made a pointed effort to shake off any age-related critiques by proving that he has more energy than the average millennial.

Driving himself in a trusty Perodua Perdana, with no police escort visible, he has left many wondering which fountain he drinks from to find boundless amounts of energy, and when located, if we could all have a sip of that water, thanks.

The former PM turned PM re-elect has always had the gifted touch of relating to the common man, whether it is through his simple US$3 Bata slippers that he has been wearing throughout the campaign, or the fact that he was listening to Radio Klasik RMT while cruising.

In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if someone on the PM’s social media team created this hilarious fake Tinder profile over the weekend in a bid to get a few laughs and build rapport with the country’s youth.

It’s been an interesting ten days since Mahathir was sworn in, with the quick release of Anwar Ibrahim, the promise to lower GST from 6% to 0%, pre-dawn raids on former Prime Minister Najib Razak’s home and other related properties, resulting in accusations by the former PM that cops ate his chocolate.

No worries sir, we’re sure the IGP will get to the bottom of who took those Lindt as soon as they’re done figuring out who took billions from 1MDB.
