Want to strike it rich? Pray to this white monkey.
Local daily China Press reported that residents at Taman Rasah Jaya in Seremban have been feeding a white monkey as they believe doing so would bring them good luck and fortune.
According to the report, which was translated by The Star Online, a troop of monkeys appeared at the residential area about a year ago.
The monkey with full white fur, however, was the one that caught the most attention.
A local resident told the Chinese daily that news of residents striking it rich in the lottery after feeding it started surfacing about six months ago. In fact, the man claimed that several of his friends who fed the monkey regularly reportedly won lotteries as well.
“One of my friends struck 4D eight times in a month,” the resident told the China Press.
The man added that the residents have been giving the primates more fruits to ‘thank’ them for the good luck.
