When British newlyweds Jonathan Kemp and Alyson Jackson started arguing during their honeymoon in KL last week, neither of them probably expected things to devolve into Kemp actually going missing.
That’s exactly what happened, however, as the couple, married only a week, parted ways after exchanging heated words in their Bukit Bintang hotel room on Friday night.
By early Saturday morning, Jackson had lodged a police report on the disappearance of her husband, who did not return to their hotel room.
Police say passersby spotted Kemp in the Salak South area at around 3.30pm on Saturday, but they only managed to locate him themselves on Sunday.
After police found him in a drunken condition, Kemp was sent to the Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM) for treatment, said Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Zainuddin Ahmad.
According to Jackson, her husband’s disappearance was a cause for concern because he was acting a little strangely before leaving the hotel.
“He didn’t think he was in Kuala Lumpur. He thought he was back home in Maryport, England.
“I had to remind him where we were,” she added.
The Star Online reports that the couple was scheduled to have leave for the next leg of their honeymoon in Bali, Indonesia, yesterday.
